Virtual Phone Numbers also called DID (Direct Inward Dialing) is a service that enables customers to be reached directly at their own phone numbers by subscribers of other networks, including PSTN - regular telecom lines.

Kalam Telecom offers geographical phone numbers from more than 50 countries from all over the world. Each country is divided on areas (cities). For example you can have a number from London, New York, Moscow, Bejing etc.
Each account can be associated with one phone number or multiple phone numbers. There is no limits in number of associated numbers.

In order to obtain a phone number follow the steps:

  1. Log in to the Portal.
  2. Click on Virtual numbers menu.
  3. Click on “add number” button.
  4. From the list of available countries/regions select one.
  5. New list showing cities/areas will unfold, select the area and enter the quantity of phone numbers you whish to order, enter 1 if only one phone number.
  6. Click order button and wait several seconds for the system to process the request.
  7. The newly ordered phone number will be displayed in the message window, from this moment the service is active.
  8. Phone numbers associated with the account can be removed at any moment from the Virtual numbers menu.

Using the service: immediately after successfully completed order the service is ready to use, you can make a test by calling the number from a regular PSTN phone. The call should ring on your VoIP phone. Before the test make sure that your VoIP adapter is online and registered. You can also forward any calls to your VoIP phone to be received by your fixed or mobile phone.
Virtual phone numbers can also be used with K-Fone softphone.

In addition they can be combined with voicemail and call forwarding.
